ABOUT CHIARA

I'm an Italian contemporary artist based between Paris and Northern Italy.

My work is structured around the representation of femininity. The main concept is to focus on qualities like softness and vulnerability, which are not synonymous with weakness.

Our society often rewards masculine approaches, valuing individualism, aggressiveness, and analytical thinking as attributes for success. It's time to reverse this tendency, to empower the feminine side that exists within each and every one of us, to cultivate a more creative, nurturing, and loving world.

In my paintings, I strive to convey a sense of empowerment and sisterhood, capturing the innate strength and complexity of women and contemplating the nature of connection.
Through the representation of ordinary people, I aim to explore the kaleidoscope of emotions found in the human face.

In my works, women are depicted as very charismatic, often gazing forward with unsmiling and introspective expressions.

I, for sure, find my inspiration also in my various travels around the world, especially South East Asia, where I lived for a few years, and the Middle East. I spend countless hours working on my paintings trying to represent that specific feeling caught in that defined moment in order to connect deeply and more intimately with the viewer.

I have never expected anything from my work but the satisfaction I could get from it by the very fact of painting and saying what I couldn’t say otherwise.

A BIT OF BACKGROUND

Born in 1986 in Italy, I began exploring artistic expressions from a very young age. As I grew older, my fascination with art only deepened. I fell in love with the great masters of the Italian Renaissance, the Impressionists, and contemporary artists. This passion led me to graduate in Art Conservation of Cultural Heritage in Venice, paving the road to my art career.

I traveled a lot, driven by a thirst for intense experiences and fresh inspiration. Each destination, each encounter, left its mark on my artistic soul, shaping my creative vision in unexpected ways.

After some time working in the corporate world, I faced a moment of reckoning—a time to pause and reflect—and I started to delve into the topic of happiness. I realized that I was sacrificing my joy, my happiness, in pursuit of justifying my existence in the world with things that didn't matter, chasing external validation.

I picked up my brushes again, and I went with the flow... from that moment on, I understood that this is what I want to be... and life started to manifest.
Returning to my art was like coming home. With each brushstroke, I found a sense of purpose and fulfillment that I had been missing. I believe that we all have a unique calling in life, a purpose waiting to be discovered. It's about tuning in to our true selves and embracing the journey with open arms.

So, welcome to my world of art! A place where creativity knows no bounds, and every piece tells a story. I invite you to join me on this adventure of self-discovery and joyous expression where art is a celebration of life itself, a testament to the beauty of surrender, the power of authenticity, and the infinite potential of human connection.
